Google Digital Marketing and E-Commerce with Certificate
The Google online marketing certification courses on digital marketing and e-commerce. Google has published its first premium online course on online marketing. Immediately, voices were raised as to whether unfair information was being revealed in the process. I would like to answer these and other questions in this review.
The certification consists of 7 courses, each divided into 4 – 5 weeks. It teaches the basics about online marketing, e-commerce, SEO, SEM, social media and analytics. The online courses are well suited for beginners and career changers. If you are already active in marketing, the course is only worthwhile because of the certificate.
If you do online marketing, you have to keep learning, otherwise you will simply be overtaken by the competition and technology. When a course from Google itself comes along and beckons with a final certificate, the decision is relatively easy.
Note: The Google course is available in ENGLISH.
Too Long; Didn‘t Read
Name: Google Digital Marketing and E-commerce Certificate of Professional Qualification
- Courses Included: 7
- Total duration: 6 months
- Effort: 10 hours per week
- Languages: English
- Level: Beginner
- Certificate: At the end of the course, if all assessed tasks have been passed.
- Price: € 35 per month
Each of the 7 courses is divided into 4 to 5 weeks. However, you can choose the learning speed yourself and progress much faster. By the way, this is not the only offer of the Google Career Certificates program.
Furthermore, It is interesting that the Google online marketing course has picked Coursera, although there are already online courses in the Google Future Workshop. However, these are all free and with Coursera you need a paid membership.
The individual course units consist largely of videos and texts. However, there is also interactive content that can be completed in an entertaining way. In between there are always practice quizzes and tests on the schedule.
You always have to complete the multiple-choice tests with at least 80%, otherwise you have to do it again. At least, if you want to claim the certificate at the end.
The topic SEO comes in the second course from week two.
Since the information is not very in-depth, a specialization or further training is necessary afterwards. This also makes the question of whether special secrets are divulged by Google superfluous.
But now to the Google Marketing course itself.

Conclusion
The Google certification courses are super structured and the content is also very good.
However, don’t forget that this is a beginner course. If you already have an education in digital marketing, you can save yourself the Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce specialization learning program.
Unless you want the certificate. In that case, you can race through the Google Marketing course at double speed. Just like I do.
Hi, thank you for the summary. You mentioned the Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Specialization at the end. Could you give some examples, where to find a valuable course online, providing deeper insight into this topic? Thank you.
Hello Dominika,
this is the very course I am referring to in that article. I think the formatting was confusing.
